About Phoxel

Phoxel turns a handful of casual phone photos into a set of professional ones — of your product, your dish, your car, your dog, the room you rent out. It is built and run by one person, and everything below is written the way I would explain it to a customer who asked.

What the AI is allowed to change

Light, background, framing, colour balance, the surface a thing sits on. In other words: the parts a photographer would have controlled if you had hired one. A relit dish is still the dish you cooked; a staged room is still the room you are letting.

What it must never touch

The identity of the thing itself. The shape of the product, the label text, the dents on a used car, the actual portion on the plate, the number of rooms in a flat. A photo that flatters is marketing; a photo that lies gets your listing pulled — and marketplaces are getting stricter about exactly this. That is why the platform guides on this site spend as much time on what you are not allowed to do as on pixel sizes.

Why there are no people in it

Phoxel does not generate photos of people, and it will not put a face into a scene. Part of that is a payment-processor rule about AI-generated human likenesses. The larger part is that the honest version of this product is hard enough with objects, where "did it stay the same thing?" has a clear answer. With faces it does not.

What happens to your photos

• Reference photos you upload are used to generate your pack, and nothing else.
• They are not sold, not published, and not used to train a model.
• Generated photos are yours to use commercially — that is the entire point of them.
• The full detail lives in the privacy policy, which is short on purpose.

How it is priced, and why

Credits, bought once, no subscription. Most people photographing something need photos in bursts — a new drop, a new listing, a flat between tenants — and then nothing for two months. A monthly fee punishes exactly that pattern, so there isn't one. Credits do not expire. The pricing page has the per-photo maths.

Who is behind it

One founder, no team, no investors. That means replies to hello@phoxel.app come from the person who wrote the code, and that feature requests get read rather than routed. It also means the roadmap is narrow on purpose: more niches and better fidelity, not a suite.
