A Pebblely alternative for people who don’t shoot every month.
Pebblely is the closest thing to a direct competitor we have on product photos. The difference that actually matters isn’t the output — it’s what happens to the images you paid for and didn’t use.

| Cost per image if you skip a month | The month is still billed | Nothing — you spend nothing |

Plan prices and image counts are from Pebblely’s own pricing page, checked 2 August 2026. The rollover line is their wording, from the FAQ on that same page: “Unused image credits will not be rolled over to the following month.” Our per-photo figures are the arithmetic of our packs at 10 credits per photo.
Which one is right for you?
Use Pebblely
You genuinely generate every month.
At 200 images a month, every month, their $19 plan works out around $0.10 an image against our $0.19 on the Pro pack. If your volume is steady and real, that is simply cheaper and we won’t pretend otherwise.
You only ever shoot products.
Our extra niches are worth nothing to you if you sell one category. Breadth is only an advantage if you use it.
You want their specific background library.
They publish a large themed background set built for product shots. If it already contains the looks you want, that is a real reason to stay.
Use Phoxel
Your photography comes in bursts.
A new drop, a seasonal refresh, a batch of listings, then nothing for two months. That is the pattern a monthly allowance punishes hardest — you pay in the quiet months and forfeit what you didn’t use in the busy ones.
You want the unused half back.
Buy 600 credits, use 200 this month, and the other 400 are still there next spring. There is no month-end deadline to plan around.
You photograph more than products.
The same balance covers a dish, a rental listing, a car, a pet portrait, a ring, a logo on a storefront. One account, nine other niches.
You want to test before committing.
$6 for 20 photos is a real trial of your own product, not a demo on someone else’s.
Subscriptions and bursts are a bad fit, and the maths shows it.
Take the sensible middle plan. $19 a month for 200 images is about ten cents an image — genuinely good, and better than our per-photo price. That number holds exactly as long as you use all 200 every single month.
Now take a real seller. They list a batch in March, refresh in June, and do a Christmas push in November. Three active months out of twelve. The subscription bills all twelve — $228 — and forfeits the unused allowance from each of the nine quiet ones. The same seller on our Pro pack spends $29, twice, and still has credits left over.
This is not a trick of arithmetic; it is what monthly allowances are for. They are excellent for steady catalogue work and expensive for everyone else. Which one you are is the only question this page is asking you to answer.
